"تعزيز التنمية الاقتصادية للمجتمع: التزام روتاري"
Dear Fellow Rotarians,
As October dawns, I am reminded of the powerful potential that resides within our communities. The Rotary Club has always been at the forefront of fostering unity, progress, and growth in various spheres. This month, we shine a spotlight on Community Economic Development, a concept that lies at the heart of Rotary's vision and mission.
Community Economic Development (CED) is a process where local people can work together to achieve sustainable growth and improve the quality of life in their communities. It encourages a bottom-up approach, where the people directly involved in the community are the ones driving the change. This idea resonates profoundly with our ethos as Rotarians. We believe in the strength of the collective and the transformative power of unity in diversity.
As we delve into the theme of this month, it is important to reflect on the vital role local economies play in shaping our society. Local businesses, nonprofits, and cooperatives provide job opportunities, supply essential goods and services, and help maintain the unique character of our communities. By supporting these local enterprises, we can contribute to an economic system that is resilient, sustainable, and inclusive.
At Rotary, we have always strived to promote economic and community development. Our projects, whether they are microcredit initiatives in developing countries, vocational training programs for underserved populations, or community service grants for local non profits,are all directed towards empowering individuals and communities. The goal is to create an enabling environment where people can realize their potential and contribute to their communities' prosperity.
October will be a month of action for our Rotary District. We will take initiative and lead projects aimed at fostering economic development in our communities. We encourage all members to participate actively in these efforts. Whether it is by mentoring a local entrepreneur, sponsoring a vocational training program, or shopping at a local business, every action counts.
However, in our pursuit of economic growth, we must not lose sight of sustainability. Economic development should not come at the cost of our environment or social equality. As Rotarians, we must uphold our commitment to building a more equitable and sustainable world. Our projects should be designed in a manner that not only promotes economic growth but also preserves our natural resources and promotes social equity.
In this vein, we also encourage partnerships. Collaboration with local governments, businesses, and nonprofits can amplify our impact. By pooling resources and aligning our efforts, we can achieve more significant results. We urge all Rotarians to leverage their networks and forge partnerships that can help drive community economic development.
Education and awareness are also key to our efforts. We should aim to educate our members and the wider community about the importance of supporting local economies. We can organize seminars, webinars, and workshops to share knowledge and best practices. We can use our platforms to promote local businesses and showcase the benefits of buying locally.
In conclusion, October presents an exciting opportunity for us to demonstrate the power and potential of Community Economic Development. As we navigate through the month, let us keep in mind our Rotary motto, 'Service Above Self'. Let us use this opportunity to uplift our communities, promote sustainable economic growth, and make a positive impact on the world.

مع بزوغ فجر شهر تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، نستذكر سويا ما تكنزه مجتمعاتنا من إمكانات حقيقية في عدة مجالات. و ما انفك لروتاري يمارس دوره الطليعي في تعزيز الوحدة والتقدم والنمو في مختلف هذه المجالات. في هذا الشهر، نسلط الضوء على "التنمية الاقتصادية المجتمعية" كفهوم يقع في جوهر رؤية الروتاري ورسالته العالمية. .
تعرف التنمية الاقتصادية المجتمعية (CED) على أنها : عملية يمكن للسكان المحليين من خلالها العمل معًا لتحقيق النمو المستدام وتحسين نوعية الحياة في مجتمعاتهم. و تشجع كمفهوم على اتباع نهج تصاعدي يمنح للأشخاص المشاركين مباشرة في المجتمع دوراً رياديا في قيادة دفة التغيير. مما يترك في نفوسنا كروتاريين صدى عميقا منبثقا من ايماننا بمفعول مبدأ "الوحدة" ونجاعته في تغيير و تحويل المجتمعات على اختلافها.
وبنظرة متعمقة في موضوع هذا الشهر، نجد أنه من المهم التفكير في الدور الحيوي الذي تلعبه الاقتصادات المحلية في تشكيل مجتمعنا. حيث توفر الشركات المحلية والمنظمات غيرالربحية والتعاونيات فرصا للعمل، وتوفر السلع والخدمات الأساسية، وتساعد في الحفاظ على الطابع الفريد لمجتمعاتنا. فدعم هذه المؤسسات المحلية يمكننا من المساهمة في خلق نظام اقتصادي مرن ومستدام وشامل.
و نحن في الروتاري نسعى دائمًا إلى تعزيز التنمية الاقتصادية والمجتمعية. إن مشاريعنا - سواء كانت مبادرات ائتمانية صغيرة في البلدان النامية، أو برامج التدريب المهني للسكان الأقل حظا، أو منح خدمة المجتمع للمنظمات غير الربحية المحلية – تأتي كلها موجهة نحو تمكين الأفراد والمجتمعات. والهدف المنشود منها هو خلق بيئة مواتية تمكن الناس من تحقيق تطلعاتهم والمساهمة في ازدهار مجتمعاتهم.
فلنعلن شهر تشرين الأول/أكتوبر شهرا للعمل على امتداد رقعة الروتاري في العالم. ولنأخذ زمام المبادرة ونقود المشاريع التي تهدف إلى تعزيز التنمية الاقتصادية في مجتمعاتنا. ولنشجع جميع أعضائنا على المشاركة بنشاط في هذا المجهود مهما كان حجمه أو شكله وسواءً كان ذلك من خلال توجيه رجل أعمال محلي، أو رعاية برنامج للتدريب المهني، أو التسوق في شركة محلية.
"غير منتقصين من أهمية أية مبادرة"
وفي خضم سعينا الحثيث لتحقيق النمو الاقتصادي يجب علينا ألا نغفل مفهوم "الاستدامة". كما لا ينبغي للتنمية الاقتصادية أن تأتي على حساب بيئتنا أو المساواة الاجتماعية. مؤكدين كأعضاء في الروتاري، على تمسكنا بالتزامنا ببناء عالم أكثر إنصافا واستدامة. حيث ينبغي علينا تصميم مشاريعنا بطريقة لا تعزز النمو الاقتصادي فحسب، بل تحافظ أيضا على مواردنا الطبيعية وتعزز العدالة الاجتماعية.
وفي هذا السياق، فإننا نشجع أيضًا الشراكات. حيث يمكن للتعاون مع الحكومات المحلية والشركات والمنظمات غير الربحية أن يزيد من تأثيرنا من خلال تجميع الموارد ومواءمة جهودناما يضمن تحقيق نتائج أكثر أهمية. إن حث الروتاريين و شحذ هممهم على الاستفادة من شبكاتهم وإقامة شراكات سيؤدي كنتيجة حتمية الى دفع التنمية الاقتصادية والمجتمعية.
و في هذا الصدد يجب ان لا نغفل دور التعليم والتوعية كعنصران أساسيان في جهودنا. حيث تهدف هذه الجهود إلى تثقيف أعضائنا والمجتمع من حولنا الى أهمية دعم الاقتصادات المحلية. وينطوي تحت هذا الدور أمثلة عديدة : منها تنظيم ندوات وورش عمل وجاهية او عبر الإنترنت لتبادل المعرفة و اطلاق منصاتنا للترويج للشركات المحلية وعرض فوائد الشراء محليًا.
وفي الختام، يمثل شهر تشرين الأول/أكتوبر فرصة جاذية لنا لإظهار قوة وإمكانات التنمية الاقتصادية المجتمعية. فدعونا نضع في اعتبارنا شعار الروتاري الخاص بنا، "الخدمة فوق الذات". ودعونا نغتنم هذه الفرصة للارتقاء بمجتمعاتنا، وتعزيز النمو الاقتصادي المستدام، وإحداث تأثير إيجابي على العالم.
