Jointly with all Rotary Clubs and Hosted by RC Petra, Rotarians welcomed Amman Mayor Dr. Yousef Shawarbeh.
Program included promoting Rotary and its impact in Jordan, mentioning projects and focusing on Gift of Life (GOLA) as a project of Rotary dedicated to saving lives of Children with defected hearts and who need open heart surgeries and yet lack the funding.
Dr. Shawrbeh’s speech was focused on the strategic plan the municipality has for the coming years, and the electronic era that we will move into for completing governmental and municipality procedures to avoid employees and personal interference and corruption. He also addressed the traffic problems and measures that will be taken to solve this problem including the Fast Buss.
President of the Rotary Club of Petra Mohammed Melhim thanked the speaker and handed him a certificate of appreciation on behalf of all Clubs.
